Man Breaks Fingers After Snapping Very Emphatically at Nuyorican Performance
by Aristotelis Orginos
The Nuyorican, famed slam poetry club which some Beat poet that was maybe Allen Ginsburg praised that one time, held their usual slam poetry event on whatever day they hold these events. It’s finals week, I’ve had enough Wikipedia for one month.
A local man from the East Village, Tim Mandrake, reportedly was “rushed to the hospital,” officials say, “after snapping his fingers too hard while responding to a very deep poem.”
Mandrake refused to comment, stating that “the postmodern ennui the poem represented was worth breaking his fingers over and, indeed, the breaking of the fingers represented the broken life of the main character’s family.”
